Several thousand people sang the Hungarian and Székely national anthems with dignity, discipline and heart on Easter Sunday at Szabadság Square in Csíkszereda, at the largest food offering in the Carpathian Basin.
Perhaps even the elderly do not remember such mild weather at Easter: this time, neither frost, nor rain, nor snow, but not even a stray cloud overshadowed the largest outdoor food offering in the Carpathian Basin in Csíkszereda.
The faithful took their places in Szabadság square before eight o'clock in the morning, and as usual: in ceremonial or festive costumes, they arranged themselves in rows and disciplinedly took part in the festive ceremony, which was celebrated by József Tamás, retired auxiliary bishop.
After the festive introduction and songs, the clergy of Csikszereda consecrated the food brought in the baskets, walking through the lines of the faithful, reaching everyone's basket. The festive ceremony ended with the singing of the Hungarian and Székely hymns, and then the faithful returned to their homes.
