The world is changing a lot and on a large scale. It is very difficult to decide what gives security when permanence means change. In the old days, rules, customs and systems provided a framework for the day, year and life. Our predecessors still knew and passed on the conservative order, but nowadays we live according to completely different standards.

77-year-old uncle Áron from Erdöfüle tells about what the world was like at that time, what gave life meaning.

"There is nothing wrong as long as God produces fruit from the earth. They can also bring in a truckload of money if there is no crop," the old man admits that this is the most important thing for the world to function.

"They didn't take me to a doctor even once. We walked barefoot until it snowed. (…) I really liked sheep farming. (...) On the evening we ate that there was chicken for every morning, and then they fried eggs. And for lunch they cooked bean soup, buckwheat soup or buckwheat soup. We ate this. For a snack, we took out a piece of Orda with bread and onions. There, the three of us could eat from one cauldron, now everyone is separate..." - he revives the good old days.

In the old days, the bear caused a lot of damage in the farm world, which is why you always had to be ready, your boots often didn't come off your feet at night, so that you could run as soon as possible to drive the bear away.

"With us, it was not that there was no acceptance of the word. There was a speech. (My parents) told me to behave in such a way that everyone likes your behavior. I behaved as I did, guarding sheep for four villages. (…) There is no one on this earth who is angry with me, I dare to say this because my father taught me that way", Uncle Áron tells the 1000 faces of Székelyföld .

"I am satisfied with everything, thanks to the Good Lord," says the 77-year-old man - and these days very few people can say this so honestly.

"One's job is to do one's job as described and to respect everyone. Because if you don't respect or love everyone here, there's nothing to look up to until then. One should finish one's work here on Earth, and then try to think in that direction," Uncle Áron points to the sky.
