Kossuth Square is full.

"National march and demonstration for a new Hungary" - Péter Magyar announced a demonstration with this title for Saturday afternoon in the capital.

Péter Magyar was greeted by a storm of applause on stage.

"Until now, I have called you my dear friends, but this is more than a group of friends"

Péter Magyar began his speech. He continued by saying that the date of April 6, 2024 should be well remembered, because from now on nothing will be the same,

"the Hungarian nation has told us that until now and no more".

According to him, national symbols and phrases were taken back, he spoke of hundreds of thousands of patriots who are part of a miracle. Péter Magyar sees that there are hundreds of thousands of people at the demonstration. He also said that in a few weeks the message of hope reached even the most remote corners of the country, even though when he first posted the message not to be afraid, he even had to convince himself, but with this energy you can already move mountains. He believed that

in a few weeks, we did something unprecedented since the regime change, starting from a small garage, we shook the 20-year-old political status quo.

Péter Magyar spoke of a fearful power, but the public opinion survey of the Republikon Institute rather indicates that the opposition parties have reason to be afraid.

Several left-wing public figures appeared at the demonstration, including Péter Juhász, who recently announced that he is running for mayor in Budapest's 5th district.

János Nagy, the leftist mayor of Szigetszentmiklós, who won as a candidate of the opposition alliance in 2019, spoke at the event.

After Nagy's victory in 2019, he started joint campaigns with Jakab and Péter Márki-Zay.

It is also worth noting that

János Nagy was the MSZP candidate in the 2021 left-wing primaries.

Now, however, he spoke to the protesters at the invitation of Péter Magyar.

After that, Ervin Nagy, a regular on RTL, sang a Presser composition. But Andrea Rost also sang, who left the Hungarian State Opera last year after unsuccessfully applying for the position, but he did not become the director.

According to Péter Magyar, the crowd gathered on Kossuth Square is the proof that this is not "a Belpes media heck", and then he asked the crowd to show the city name plates distributed at the beginning of the event. According to Magyar, the crowd is bigger than at the 2022 Peace March.

Magyar promised that they would take Hungary back step by step, according to him, freedom was never given for free, so we have to fight for it.

The politician spoke to the leaders of the public media, demanding that he be able to tell on live broadcast how to imagine the new Hungary. He then turned to Chief Prosecutor Péter Polt, who, according to him, is unable to do his job impartially. In response, the crowd began chanting for him to resign. "Do you, Péter Polt, hear what the Hungarian people are saying?" Magyar asked.

Magyar announced that his association was established, where he is waiting for micro-donations.

He still did not name his party (a treasure, what is not?), despite this, the party that does not exist today will run in the European Parliament elections on June 9 and will bring about the new Hungary.

He then announced that it was possible to apply for the electoral list of his party in the European Parliament.
