The "What's My Way?" In this part of the video series, we follow the journey of Olympic quota athlete Csaba Bőhm all the way to the pentathlon games in Paris, where, in addition to sport, faith once again plays an important role!
The talented athlete talked about how his career was in jeopardy at the beginning of the covid period due to a serious illness.
"I felt that there was something wrong with my heart. As an athlete, I knew that this was a huge problem, because our sport depends a lot on the condition of our heart. Sports license can be revoked for even the slightest deviation. And I felt that the situation was very bad..."
– revealed the background of his illness, the bronze medalist of the individual European championship.
Csaba Bőhm had serious doubts about whether professional sports would be his path, or whether God intended another path for him. During the examinations, he had a serious experience of God, which was decisive in his life.
"In parallel with this period, I began to pray more. Then I didn't know what to do with this situation, so I opened the Bible.
It opened right at the book of Job. I didn't know anything about it, but I started reading. Perhaps in my life this brought me the greatest experience of God so far, a conviction that then affected my future, to this day."
How do we react when God takes away from us what we love? Can we trust him completely, even if we don't understand why things happen to us?
