In July, the High Council and Synod of the Hungarian Unitarian Church elected István Kovács as its bishop for six years. The pastor of Sepsiszentgyörgy moved back to the treasured city after twenty years, and the Nézőpont staff visited him in his episcopal office. They talked with him about a sense of vocation, the relationship of young people with the church, plans for the new function, freedom and liberty.

Why does someone become a pastor today? How can young people fall in love with the church? How can the faith community help in this difficult epidemic time? István Kovács answered all of these.

This is one of the most beautiful vocations, where human creativity, working together with God, faith, community service, and value creation can be intertwined so beautifully that whoever chooses this can take part in many challenges and many spiritual satisfactions, said the bishop.

The establishment of the Unitarian religion is not for nothing connected with the declaration of religious freedom, it is perhaps the most tolerant religion in Transylvania. A topical question in today's age, where liberal ideas relativize the meaning of even the most basic concepts : how long can tolerance last?

"Tolerance must also mean vigilance, because you cannot tolerate everything. Harmful things cannot be tolerated, nor can we tolerate freedom turning into freedom. With the slogan of tolerance, we tolerate everything, because with such a laisses faire attitude, we say that everything has its place under the sun, and we simply notice that the natural values, the values that have sustained human culture and civilization for thousands of years, are slowly they become shallow, relativized - István Kovács expressed his opinion in the Székelyhon Tv program.
