"God bless you and your family!" - wrote the former president of the United States to Zoltán Mága.

This is the surprise! On the occasion of his 50th birthday, former US President Donald J. Trump greeted the Ferenc Liszt Prize-winning violinist Zoltán Mága with a personal letter of congratulations, whom he almost dazzled with his virtuoso violin playing at the traditional year-end gala of the Republican Club last December.

Mága is not unknown to the overseas art world and the public: his two stand-alone shows broadcast on the PBS channel and his annual American and Canadian tour series receive serious media attention and outstanding interest from the music-loving audience. Whether it's Carnegie Hall in New York, known as the temple of music, or the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, or the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, which also hosts the Oscars, his concerts usually take place in front of packed houses, and the audience stood up and thanked the Hungarian artist's virtuoso playing with thunderous applause.

This was also the case when the artist played music at a gala held in Manhattan, one of the oldest Republican clubs in the USA, and enchanted Trump with his performance.

"It is an extremely great honor for me that one of the most influential people in the world, the former leader of one of the most powerful and largest countries on Earth, at the gala evening - almost the first to get up from his festive table - thanked me for my performance with a standing ovation, then invited me over and congratulated me with a friendly handshake," said the Prima Primissima awardee violinist.

"We also exchanged a few words with the president, who was very direct and good-humored. He mentioned that he is campaigning in my name, referring to the MAGA slogan, i.e. "Make America Great Again!".

The former president did not forget Mága's anniversary either: in a personally signed letter on February 19, he greeted the Hungarian artist, whom he considers incredibly talented, on his 50th birthday, recalling their meeting in December as a joyful moment. The former American president - also asking for God's blessing on behalf of his wife Melania Trump - wished Zoltán Mága good health and happiness.

Donald Trump wrote:

Dear Zoltán!

Melanie and I join her family and friends in wishing you a wonderful 50th birthday! It was a pleasure meeting you last December. You are an incredibly talented violinist!

As you celebrate this special occasion, we pray that the year ahead will be filled with good health, happiness, and the blessings of our great country.

Happy birthday, God bless you and your family.

Best regards,

Donald J. Trump

"The president, who will run again in the November election, forwarded his letter to my son's address in New York, so I only recently, in the days before Easter, when I was in America, received the presidential greeting"

- revealed Mága, adding that the American manager and Donald Trump's staff are already discussing when and where they can meet during his American tour planned for the second half of the year.

"This tour would also include the concert that would be held at the former president's residence in Palm Beach, Florida," Zoltán Mága noted.

On April 27, the violinist will hold his birthday concert at the MVM Dome, which is also a special lifetime concert.

Zoltán Mága revealed that he is currently preparing for two major concert series, and is also performing in America and Hungary.

It is part of the large-scale event series entitled "50 years 50 concerts" to be organized in the MVM Dome, which, with the participation of the most prestigious artists, presents a kind of retrospective of the career of the Franz Liszt prize-winning violinist from his childhood to winning the Merited Artist Award.

In connection with the concert series, which also supports charitable causes, Mága revealed that she would like to thank all those who, through word and deed, helped her career as an artist and in public life.
