In November last year, more than HUF 90.2 billion in subsidies were paid to reduce the expired liabilities of healthcare institutions.

The government will provide HUF 63.4 billion in extra funds for the debt settlement of hospitals, the Ministry of the Interior (BM) announced.

They wrote that due to the war raging in the neighborhood and the economic crisis caused by the failed Brussels sanctions, health care expenses have also increased significantly. However, the government is committed to solving the hospitals' liquidity problems as soon as possible, which is why it accepted the BM's proposal to provide operational support, they pointed out.

Based on the accepted proposal, state, municipal, and church-owned health care providers providing outpatient and inpatient care, as well as clinical centers operating as part of higher education institutions, will receive operational support of HUF 63.4 billion, they explained.

They added: the operating support will be vouchered to the healthcare providers by the National Health Insurance Fund Manager until April 30, the terms of the compensation are included in the government decree, they added.
