Most of them allocate 1+1 percent of their personal income tax to the treatment of children and animal shelters.
The tax forints are a huge help to the supported organizations, the donors can decide the fate of billions every year, the National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) pointed out in a statement sent to MTI on Thursday.
The office has published on its website the tax number of the civil organizations and the technical number of the religious communities and the National Talent Program for which a valid offer can be made
- they write in the announcement.
It was emphasized that this year too, everyone can freely dispose of 1+1 percent of their paid taxes. One percent can be donated to an NGO, and another 1 percent can be donated to a religious community or the National Talent Program.
The statement of ownership can be submitted to the NAV on the "23EGYSZA" tab until May 21, either as part of the return or as a separate statement. The easiest way to obtain a KAÜ ID (customer portal, electronic identity card, telephone identification, facial identification) for the 1+1 percent of the sja is in NAV's web filling program.
Donations made to the religious community or the National Talent Program remain valid. This means that the previously made, formally valid declaration is automatically taken into account by the NAV until the offeror indicates another technical number of beneficiaries with a new declaration or withdraws the previous declaration. On the other hand, for civilian beneficiaries, as in previous years, the donation must still be made annually.
In the announcement, it was explained that from January 1, 2024, the formally appropriate declaration made for the technical number cannot be taken into account, even if the individual does not file by May 20 of the year following the tax year - by May 21, 2024 in the 2024 disposition year - did not submit a personal income tax return, or based on the submitted return, no taxable income subject to consolidation was generated.
Taxpayers can indicate on the 1+1 percentage declaration that their name and contact information can be disclosed to the designated civil beneficiary by the NAV. Consent to data management and the inclusion of data on the statement is voluntary and not a condition of the valid provision.
Step-by-step information and a video are available on the website of the NAV on the acceptance and addition of the tax declaration draft, as well as the 1+1 percent provision, the National Tax and Customs Office informed.
