On the occasion of Earth Day, April 22, the national community of the 10 Million Trees NGO announces National Tree Planting Day. The action would be held every year on the first Saturday of March with the aim of planting as many trees as possible with the help of the community.
According to the NGO's announcement, the climate crisis, the ecological and biodiversity crisis affects the Earth, thus all the inhabitants of Hungary. Solutions to the problems must be found locally, which is why the national community of 10 million Trees is announcing an action, the goal of which is to make Hungary the greenest country in Europe.
"The matter of maintaining the human habitat is the matter of all of us. Once a year, we can achieve a huge result together with just a few hours of preparation. At once, we can increase Hungary's forest cover on a massive scale, its green areas dominated by trees. We can make up for much of what our predecessors and we ourselves have written about the surface of Hungary since the beginning of the industrial revolution"
they wrote.
According to the announcement, the national action will be held for the first time on March 1, 2025, which can be joined individually, and any Hungarian organization and organization, institution and company can also participate.
