For the first time, the Pro Agricultura Egyesület organized a wheat consecration in Buza, Mezős, which joined the program called Bread of Hungarians - 15 million grains of wheat from 2022.

At the ceremony held at the wheat field of one of the local farmers, István Jakab, as the president of the Association of Hungarian Farmers' Associations and Farmers' Cooperatives (MAGOSZ), expressed his joy that he could celebrate together with the Hungarians and farmers from Mezőség, and together they will try to find out what kind of strategy they can build on in the next period. He recalled the beginnings of the Bread of Magyars program, and how it began to come to fruition, since Idézet comes from the souls of the Hungarian people. "Just as the 15 million grains of wheat ground into flour take shape in the bread, the Hungarian people - no matter where they live - unite in the nation. Because as one nation, we think with one mind, we feel with one heart, and the togetherness that we have will accompany us for life and is also manifested in our actions," he said.

Csoma Botond, president of the Cluj County branch of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (RMDSZ), announced that Transylvanian Hungarians can only be represented by Transylvanian Hungarians in Brussels, Strasbourg, Cluj and Bucharest.

"We Transylvanian Hungarians want a European Union that pays attention to Eastern European farmers as well, and not only to how Ukrainian grain can enter the European Union"

he said.

Géza Antal, the president of the Pro Agricultura Association, explained the Bread of Hungarians program and said that the farmers of Transylvania, Partium and Bánság joined the program two years ago. He touched on the problems of farmers and the fact that they also have the opportunity to have a say in decisions, either locally or at the level of the union. He reminded:

the Inner Transylvania region has always lived from agriculture - as the names of the settlements show - and he expressed his conviction that the region will have a future.

The tradition of consecrating wheat was revived by Róbert Vass Laczkó, an artist from Cluj, and then the mayor of Buzá, István Czeghér, greeted those present. Representatives of Hungarian historical churches asked for blessings on the wheat fields.
