The schedule of the Pilgrim Train of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be changed this year - so the Marosvásárhely and Cluj-Napoca celebrations will be canceled.

This year, the Pilgrim Train of Our Lady from Csíksomlyo will bypass Cluj-Napoca and Marosvásárhely, Székelyhon wrote. As the article reveals , the reason for breaking the ten-year tradition is to repair the tracks running between Nagyvárad and Cluj. The paper notes that, in recent years, in Cluj-Napoca and Marosvásárhelyen, the passengers of the pilgrim train from Budapest to Csíkszereda, on their way to Csíksomlyo, were greeted with flowers, cakes and friendly handshakes.

They add that hundreds of people traditionally marched to the main station in Marosvásárhely, where the train stopped for more than twenty minutes, during which festive greetings and prayers were said.

The route of the Pilgrimage Train of the Blessed Virgin Mary, departing from the Keleti railway station on May 16, will now be Budapest–Szolnok–Püspökladány–Debrecen–Nyírábrány–Érmihályfalva–Nagykároly–Zilah–Zsibó–Dés–Déda–Maroshévíz–Gyergyószentmiklós–Marosfő–Csíkszentdomokos–Csíkmadaras–Madéfalva and Csíkszereda.
