A new poll finds that the vast majority of Americans want Disney to return to family-friendly content and stop pushing oversexualized characters.
A new survey by Rasmussen Reports found that 71 percent of American adults say Disney should go back to making "wholesome programming" and leave it up to parents to decide "if and when they teach their children about sexuality." Only 22 percent of those surveyed disagreed with this, according to the V4na.com , based on an article by The Post Millennial news portal .
54 percent of respondents believed that LGBTQ characters in Disney stories were "inappropriate for children under 12."
According to 33 percent of the respondents, such characters are appropriate in children's shows, while 13 percent stated that they were "not sure".
The survey was conducted among 1,255 American adults on April 21-23. between, the margin of error is 3 percent.
Due to the excessive force of the gender lobby, Disney has been able to register significant losses in recent years, and that did not help their situation either, as they were trying to spread LGBTQ propaganda from the state of Florida. In late 2022, Disney declared war on a state law amendment that prohibits teaching children about sexuality or sexual ideologies until the third grade.
The state of Florida believes that only parents have the right to decide when and in what way their children are exposed to these topics. However, Disney does not think so, because according to the global company, children should be sensitized as early as possible.
The wrangling ended when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis decided in April to end Walt Disney World's special municipal status in the state. Florida ended a 1967 law that allowed the district, which includes the company's more than 25,000 acres of Central Florida theme parks, to have the same powers as a county government. The company thus pays much higher taxes since then. Stocks then lost $50 billion in value within a few weeks. Finally, in more and more places, people called on their acquaintances to boycott various Disney products.
