The assassination of Robert Fico is a great loss for Hungary from a political point of view, because we are facing an election that can decide the issue of war and peace, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Kossuth Rádió's Good Morning Hungary program. The prime minister added: we are dealing with a progressive pro-war criminal. Our article is being updated.

The assassination of Robert Fico shocked everyone. We have to realize that Europe has arrived here. An assassination is always surprising, but the fact that the level of violence in Europe is increasing to such an extent does not surprise anyone - Kossuth radio said Good morning, Hungary! Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on his program on Friday morning.

According to the prime minister, in recent years, first there were terrorist attacks in Europe, during which innocent people died, and then came the war, during which the politics of Europe were completely changed to pro-war.

As we live our lives, we don't realize how much Europe's position has changed, Viktor Orbán said, according to

at first it was only about sending helmets to the Ukrainians, and now it is about sending soldiers.

According to the Prime Minister, the European Union was created primarily for the sake of peace.

That's why we joined, that's why we joined. We believed in it, we still believe that Europe can bring peace. But this requires strong faith. And we continue to pray for the Slovak Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán said.

If we look at this situation from a political point of view, it is a great loss for Hungary. Mr. Fico was out of work for the most important months, when one

we are facing an election that, together with the American election, will decide the question of war and peace in Europe.

We really needed a pro-peace Slovakia, we have now lost this support, said Viktor Orbán.

Viktor Orbán said that so far there have not been many people who have spoken in the voice of peace. He mentioned the Vatican, Hungary, and Slovakia, which is catching up. He emphasized that we have to work twice as hard because of the attack on the pro-peace Fico.

He emphasized: Peace supporters should not be afraid.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the fact that the combinations that bring the assassination together with the war are not unreasonable. As he said, great power centers were interested in the expansion of this war.

During the interview, the new subsidies to Ukraine were discussed, as well as the meeting of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Kyiv.

The Prime Minister put it this way: things coincide that

an assassin shot in the crosshairs of the Slovaks' pro-peace process.

The pro-war parties are negotiating with each other, which is why the head of the Soros empire also went to Kiev to negotiate.

Viktor Orbán emphasized that Hungary fought to prevent the Hungarians' money from going to Ukraine, but we also send money in the form of a joint loan.

The Prime Minister explained that the ink is not yet dry on the previous contract, NATO is already organizing a mission in Ukraine. NATO is not a peace corps, if a defense alliance starts thinking about a mission, it doesn't usually end well, he added.

Viktor Orbán said

within NATO, they say that within the framework of this mission, we should "throw together" 100 billion dollars, as he said, this will ruin the member states.

The Prime Minister said that in addition to human life, the economy is also suffering. People know that war not only takes human lives, but also destroys the results of the work of generations, he added. As he said, it is enough to go to the shops, everywhere there are war prices. If there is a war, the price of everything goes up, the people of Europe feel this, said the prime minister.

According to the Prime Minister

the war pressure on Hungary is clearly shown by the fact that the NATO Secretary General is also coming to Hungary before the European Parliament elections.

Speaking about the dangers of drifting into war, Viktor Orbán illustrated neutrality with a historical example.

During the First World War, the Hungarian government wanted to stay out of the war, because the prime minister knew that there would be trouble, although perhaps he did not think how big it would be. A tragedy happened to Hungary after the war, we ended the world war with enormous territorial and human losses. We tried to stay out even before the Second World War, but in the end the Germans pushed us into the fight - recalled Viktor Orbán.

Nowadays, the great powers around us also exert pressure, but we have to resist it. The most important thing here is national unity, the existence of which can be demonstrated in the next elections. A government with strength and support behind it can more easily resist external pressure.

The Prime Minister emphasized that it is important that people show a peaceful unity in the European Parliament elections. Speaking about the left, he said that its leaders are pro-war because they get money from those who are interested in the war.

He highlighted:

whoever votes for Fidesz votes for peace, and the more of us who do so, the better chance we have of staying out of the war.

It is also important to strengthen the leaders' courage, allies must be found. The prime minister is looking for alliances, even if he does not manage to win them over for peace, but it is possible to cooperate on specific issues. As an example, he mentioned the Italians, who, contrary to their previous position, would no longer send soldiers.

Viktor Orbán put it this way: the most important thing is to protect our sovereignty, in matters of war and peace only the people and their elected representatives can decide.

Regarding the visit of the Chinese president, he said that the last time the leader of the Far Eastern country visited Hungary was twenty years ago. During these twenty years, China's share of the world economy doubled, while Europe lost 20 percent. The Prime Minister sees that there are many issues in which the East, not the West, is at the forefront, such as technology.

The current state of the world economy really covers the whole world, not just the West. In the past period, China has come to the fore in many areas, such as railways, green energy, batteries, energy storage, and telecommunications, the Prime Minister listed.

"I don't want to subordinate the interests of the Hungarian economy to ideology or geopolitics," he said.

It is in Hungary's interest that the best technology arrives in our country, and the government is working to ensure that both Western and Eastern top technology meet in Hungary.

Citing the example of Debrecen, he presented this type of cooperation, with the battery factory on one side and BMW on the other. We succeeded in freeing our Eastern relations from ideological and historical captivity, we need economic relations, not ideological ones. We strive to be among the best living countries in the world, and this requires such an economic policy.

The Chinese president's visit to Hungary is an economic milestone, concluded Viktor Orbán.

At the end of the interview, the issue of the blockade was discussed, as well as Hungary's options for not being involved. In this regard, the Prime Minister explained: we should not believe that the blockade is a preordained thing, while those who argue in favor of separation have a strong voice, the reality is different. As an example, the prime minister mentioned the accusations about Hungary's cooperation with Chinese telecommunications companies, while German companies enter into similar cooperation with Chinese companies.

When it comes to money, reality points more towards cooperation - the Prime Minister concluded.

The Prime Minister then recalled the Chinese President's announcement in Budapest that Hungary should take part in the modernization of the Chinese economy. He added: this represents a huge opportunity for Hungarian businesses, which can acquire markets in this way.

Every country in the world is doing this, we are actually competing for connections.

I think that the Hungarian government is voting in favor of connectivity, cooperation, free trade and investment, so we are not in the minority.

Don't be fools! Let's not let others talk about being careful, in reality they are making the most aggressive economic push. In order not to believe what they say, we must watch what we do. We don't hear their voices, we look at their hands!

Viktor Orbán declared at the end of the interview.
