“Even though I usually act for things rather than hope for them: I would like to take this opportunity to hope for an immediate ceasefire in Rafah and for dignity to return to Palestine and its people who have suffered terribly during these terrible times and beyond ” the drag queen wrote. He also expressed hope for the "safe release of the Israeli hostages" and added that he hoped people would "not allow racism, Islamophobia and anti-Semitism to be unleashed again".

The third drag queen, Minima Gesté, is scheduled to carry the Olympic torch in Paris on July 14. However, as Agence France-Presse reported earlier this month, Gesté became the target of homophobic and transphobic harassment for his participation in the capital's relay race.
"One of the messages I want to convey is the pride of my community, because 10 years ago it would have been unthinkable for a drag queen to carry the torch," Gesté told the news outlet.
