One itinerary, for example, recommends the noble residences of Transylvania, and Szent László-út connects locations connected to the Knight King.

Wonderfully green hills, roads through forests, castles, castles, manors reminiscent of bygone times and the traditional dishes of Transylvanian cuisine are presented to visitors who click on the portal called România Attractiva. The multimedia platform promoting cultural tourism, which was launched last week, promotes 12 routes covering 35 counties and a total of 275 tourist destinations, most of which are Hungarian-related.

The Vajdahunyad Castle, the Teleki Castle in Gernyeszeg, the Ugron Castle in Mezőzáh, the Urmánczy Castle in Maroshévíz, and the Bánffy Castle in Szílágynayfalu are just a few of the Hungarian-related sights that are presented through the Inviting Romania multimedia platform.

The portal promoting cultural tourism - currently only available in Romanian and English - also includes forest and wooden churches, Moldavian monasteries, former Roman castrums, villages with traditional architecture and located in the Danube Delta, as well as the specialties of Kalotaszeg, Szilágyság and Székelyföld cuisine, among others. includes

Practical information about the locations of the routes was also shared, which reveals whether the tourist attraction can be visited or is currently under renovation, what means of transport it can be used for, and whether there are parking or dining options on site.

At the same time, the portal has a section where the events to be organized in the affected settlements have been summarized.

According to the announcement of the Terra Building-Eventya association that implemented the project, those interested can get to know the cultural attractions based on videos, virtual tours, 3D reconstructions, animations, audio guides, and presentation texts.

According to the plans, the 275 attractions on the platform will be indicated by special road infrastructure by 2026, thereby facilitating route planning for visitors.

A mobile application has been developed for the Inviting Romania portal, which can be installed for free on iOS and Android systems, and which can also be used in offline mode, and the saved content can be viewed even if there is no signal on the phone. Access can be done anonymously or with a user account, which allows you to customize content according to preferences and post reviews of attractions.

The project, which started in 2023 and will end in June 2026, will be financed with 36.356 million lei in the framework of the national recovery plan (PNRR). As we wrote earlier, the tourism and monument protection megaproject was born on the initiative of Transylvanian Hungarians, and the authorities in Bucharest present it as an achievement of Romania, which has a "thousands of years of history" and is a "treasure storehouse".

The initiator of the Inviting Romania project is Csilla Hegedüs, the former RMDSZ state secretary of the Ministry of European Investments and Projects, who as the coordinator of the program announced at the time: "locations of outstanding importance for our Hungarian community in Transylvania have been added to the tourist routes", such as Torockószentgyörgy Castle, Segesvár Castle, Gernyeszeg Castle, Urmánczy Castle and other castles and mansions in Partium and Székelyföld.
