There are currently more immigrants than local residents in some border settlements in Serbia. Although the authorities transport them to refugee centers in vain, thanks to their helpers they escape back to the border region. Although more and more people are speaking out in favor of the protection of Serbia's southern border, as a country that wants to join the EU, the government of Serbia does not want to clash with the German position, Magyar Nemzet reports in an interview with Bálint Pásztor, the faction leader of the Vojvodina Hungarian Alliance.

- Magyarmajdány and Rábé have the biggest disaster in the country. There are currently three times as many immigrants as local residents in these two settlements, mostly inhabited by Hungarians They break into uninhabited houses, set fires, and keep the locals in fear. You can also meet them in Horgos and Subotica. Of course, not in such a crowd

The faction leader of the Hungarian Association of Vojvodina said that when migrants crowd the settlements along the border, at the request of his party, the gendarmerie collects several busloads of immigrants and takes them to the refugee center in Preševo, practically to the point where they entered the territory of the country. According to Serbian legislation, migrants could only stay in the reception centers created for them, but most of them refuse to stay there, and they also have helpers.

- With the support of international civil organizations that mobilize immeasurable amounts of money, these immigrants infiltrate back to the mentioned locations. In this way, migration takes place continuously even within the borders of the country. It is also a big problem for Serbia that local taxi drivers have seen the business opportunity in transporting migrants and are taking them back to the border. Practically with impunity.

Immigrants march through the country's settlements in huge groups, and this leads to various incidents. Pastor Bálint Pásztor told how the migrants broke into a pharmacy in Subotica a few weeks ago, abused and tied up the woman working there, and recently almost set fire to the church in Kelebia.

- These are the cases from which the citizens of Hungary were exempted thanks to the Hungarian government's firm position.

The leader of the VMSZ faction added that the physical border closure proved to be a good solution for the Vojvodina Hungarians as well, since because of this the immigrants are no longer traveling primarily along the 2015 route, but are also trying to reach Croatia, Bosnia and Romania. Bálint Pásztor said that since 2015, he and his party have spoken several times in the parliament in favor of increased protection of Serbia's southern border, but they have not yet been able to come up with concrete measures...
