The region is definitely considered scattered: according to the latest 2021 census data, 3.27 percent of the population of Temes County declared themselves Hungarian (21,285 people), and 3.31 percent of the population of Temesvár, i.e. 8,313 people, with a population of 250,849.

Péter Tamás also said that the special feature of this year's Hungarian Days is that it fits into the program series of the European Capital of Culture, which is why the city administration strongly supported the holiday.

"Since Timișoara is currently the European Capital of Culture, it is of particular importance what Hungarians present. The Hungarian Days will take place in the center of the city, so those passing by will gain an insight into our programs: our musical, cultural and gastronomic events."

explained Péter Tamás.

He added that the programs of the Hungarian Days in Timișoara had also attracted people of other languages in previous years, and they hoped that it would be no different this year, in fact. He listed, the performances of the Száztágú Gypsy Band, Gyula Bill Deák and Republic are also important program points of the Hungarian Days in Timișoara.

On the one hand, I want to present the values represented by the city's Hungarian community with the dozens of events taking place at different locations, and on the other hand, they also create the opportunity to enrich the city's otherwise diverse and meaningful artistic and public life with Hungarian bands, singers, artists, performers, and exhibitors from the motherland.

The series of events realized with the support of the European Capital of Culture program offers experiences for visitors of all ages and with a wide range of interests.

The common holiday of the Hungarians of Temesvár started as a weekend event taking place in public squares, from there it developed and grew year by year and developed its own traditions. For example, the opening gala in the theater, the atmosphere of the big concerts in the Opera Square, the Győzelem Square Fair, or the spectacular series of historical tradition-preserving programs in the park of the Hunyadi Castle - the public can participate in these again this year. The best of their genre will take turns on the main stage, as Gyula Bill Deák, the king of the blues, Republic, one of the star bands of the 90s, Vincze Lilla, multiple EMeRTon award winner, vintage Dolls, Falusi Mariann and Sárik will be coming to Timișoara. It is represented by the Péter trio, but the Hundred-member Gypsy Orchestra with Hungarikum certification will also perform.

Tibor Cári will play music again and the talented youth bands from Temesvár, Sleeping Insomnia and 8 Lights Minutes, will take the stage. In addition to the concerts, fire jugglers, baroque dancers, and a spectacular folk dance gala will also attract those interested to the city center, but the programs for smaller communities, book presentations, discussions on public issues, wine tastings, and film screenings scheduled for this long weekend cannot be missed either.
