The ability to defend oneself is necessary to maintain peace - the Prime Minister announced on Friday on Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! in his show.
It is not the presence of armies, but their absence that leads to war,
because only a strong country can defend itself and in such situations the adversary has to calculate that he will have greater losses in the event of an attack than if he did not attack - said Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Kossuth Rádió Good morning, Hungary! in his show.
the Russian army cannot crush the Ukrainians either, so it is not realistic that it would want to attack NATO, which is a hundred times stronger than Ukraine, in the future,
According to Viktor Orbán, today's situation is alarmingly similar to the "mood preparation" of the First and Second World Wars in the media and in politics. We can safely say that preparations are underway for Europe to enter the war, said Viktor Orbán.
According to Viktor Orbán, it is incomprehensible that preventing the further destruction of war is not the focus of Europe.
According to the Prime Minister, the war is a conflict between two Slavic peoples,
and instead of staying out of it, we are drifting deeper and deeper into it, and the West is constantly making pro-war statements.
Western Europeans now recognize the Ukrainian-Russian conflict as their own war. And the degree of drift can be measured very well by the change in the German position. Now we are talking about the fact that other countries want to destroy Russian military equipment in Ukraine's airspace, another leader wants us to set foot on Ukraine's territory, said Viktor Orbán.
In the light of European history, this is a communication process in preparation for a war action, the Prime Minister stated.
The European strategy is that the Ukrainians fight on the front and Europe supplies them. The Russians, on the other hand, are fighting their own operation.
Can anyone tell us what our estimate is, how much more weapons and money need to be sent so that the Ukrainians will push the Russians out of the territories they have occupied? Do we have an estimate for that?
- the Prime Minister asked the poetic question.
We are involved in a strategy in such a way that no one can tell its cost and length, Viktor Orbán said.
This is the worst thing that can happen, that we participate in a war without having an estimate of the magnitude of the means necessary for the goal that can be achieved in it. How long are we going to do this? Where will this end? asked the Prime Minister, who believes that the end will slowly be a clash between NATO, the EU and Russia. This gives rise to the darkest visions.
In his answer to the question, Viktor Orbán said: Today, no one in Europe can say how many weapons and money still need to be sent to end this war. At the same time, the possibility of a possible nuclear conflict between Russia and the NATO nuclear powers is increasingly ominous.
Regarding what Hungary can do to stay out of the conflict, the Prime Minister said: Hungary adheres to the NATO Charter.
"NATO is a defense alliance"
he underlined. The Prime Minister emphasized that this defense formation was created because the military alliances based on previous bilateral agreements did not work in Europe, so a broader agreement was needed.
"However, there is no question that NATO will carry out actions outside its own territory and launch a war outside NATO," he said. However, the Prime Minister emphasized that Hungary is the only one to take this position, and preparations for war are underway in Europe.
Viktor Orbán also said that
currently, separate commissions and working groups are already working in NATO to determine how the alliance could participate in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
At the same time, Hungary has made it clear that it does not want to participate in such processes. As he said, in order to exclude our country, the lawyers are now working on finding the possibility that we, as a NATO member state, are not obliged to participate in military actions related to the war in Ukraine.
"Non-participant" - this term was coined at the NATO headquarters in Brussels to describe our country's position. The prime minister also reminded that in the history of NATO, there has never been a case where a member state adhered to the basic agreements to the extent that Hungary does now.
Speaking about the elections, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán explained that it is primarily about war and peace, but also about migration and families.
The question of how posterity feels about the current election and its stake can be more easily understood if we look at it as where peace and war were decided in Europe. This is also the topic in America, since there will be elections in November and it does not matter from the point of view of the war who wins.
War generates not only suffering, but also profit, and the "cheating of war transporters" has its own cultural history. The military industry and arms dealers are "working themselves to death". But there are others, the speculators, who also obtain information and then use it to make a profit and are behind the pro-war supporters, and the leader of these forces is György Soros.
Politicians can be bought, for example the Hungarian left-wing politicians are here as an example for us, they receive money from the West in every campaign. They are funded by warmongers, so no wonder they are warmongering. What is interesting is that there are respectable European leaders who probably cannot be bought by the pound, like the Hungarian left, it is incomprehensible to them why they are on the side of war. This is especially interesting when we examine the current situation in Europe, everything can be traced back to the wars.
According to the prime minister, every European war is a pan-European civil war, it makes the demographic indicators catastrophic and, moreover, it takes place in the Christian cultural circle, European people exterminate each other. If we look at the European wars from a Christian perspective, regardless of who saw themselves as the losers or the winners, we all actually lost.
Viktor Orbán also said that he expects the number of people who want peace to increase in the European elections, as well as the weight of their words.
He went on to say that the issue of war is not a static issue, it is a process. Now at least the voting people should stop the process of drifting, he said.
One such idea that Brussels wants to reinforce to us is the idea of inclusion. Hungary is now being punished by the European Union because our country refuses to accept migrants. Therefore, we should pay 6 million euros per day.
Viktor Orbán emphasized that while we are protecting Europe, Hungary is being shot in the back from Brussels.
We can only answer this: we must disturb the European leaders who make such decisions!
