HVG pulled it out. Does what belongs together grow together?

The reader of Media1 noticed some strange changes regarding the text of the exclusive interview with Péter Magyar, originally published in the hvg weekly newspaper and later on the hvg website, regarding the 2006 Budapest riots.

The two texts were not exactly the same. The portal therefore approached Hvg to ask why an important part of the interview was changed so significantly afterwards.

"The weekly Hvg and originally Hvg360 published the version of the interview with Péter Magyar that the politician and his staff checked and found to be appropriate.

However, after the online publication, the Péter Magyars considered that one of the published statements could be misunderstood, so they requested that it be changed.

The editors accepted their explanation. The editors will indicate the fact of the change at the bottom of the article," the editors wrote to the portal.

Péter Magyar crossed out Gyurcsány's name

It just so happened that Media1 managed to document with photos that in an interview published in print and then online by hvg weekly on Thursday, May 23, Péter Magyar talked about Ferenc Gyurcsány's use of football ultras in 2006:

"But if they don't deploy soccer ultras, like Gyurcsány did in 2006, if they don't attack us, then there will be peace on the streets," the weekly newspaper said.

The content of the interview, published in print and online, was later changed online, unexpectedly,

because Gyurcsány's name disappeared from the sentence.

In the course of Péter Magyar's political career so far, this is not the first time that he has subsequently re-edited material about himself. It is memorable that Blikk followed the politician's instructions militarily, when Magyar cut out the part of the video about him, where his partner, Evelin Vogel, talks about how foreigners also helped in designing their logo.
