For the tenth time, Duna Médiaszolgáltató organizes the Danube Days in Torocko in Transylvania: colorful cultural programs await those interested in the jubilee event, which lasts from Friday to Sunday.

    The purpose of the series of cultural events organized on the occasion of the Day of National Unity is to strengthen the feeling of national unity with performances and concerts by artists from Hungarian-inhabited regions, as well as programs for young and old, and to present the spiritual heritage of Hungarians abroad, thus strengthening the relationship with the motherland.

Those interested in the jubilee event are welcome with both traditional and new programs. The Direction is the Székelykö! The 10-kilometer running race, organized with the motto, will be hosted by cross-country runner Zoltán Szép; all competitors will receive a medal and certificate, and the winners will also receive a goblet.

On the occasion of the event, Dankó radio will be installed in the Europa Nostra award-winning Torocko and fulfill the wishes of the listeners live, and the music for Good Lunch will also be played from there.

Children's day programs, activities, fairy tales and a photo wall, children's recess and a concert by the Kaláka band will entertain the smallest ones. Amateur gastronomy fans can prove themselves at a cooking competition this year, hosted by Róbert Kárász and the Szomszédnéni Produkciós Iroda.

On the Friday and Saturday days of the event, well-loved musical ensembles and performers will be heard, including the artists of the Hungarian Opera in Cluj, Pál István Szalonna and his Band, the Bagossy Brothers Company, Ismerős Arcok, the Titán band, and Eszter Pál at the traditional Saturday evening Belonging concert. , Miklós Varga and Gyula Vikidál will perform.

A replica of the Holy Crown will also be available for viewing in the Unitarian church this year. The program is also enriched by crafts and craft demonstrations.

In addition to the Danube Days, Duna-Ház, the recognized cultural center of Hungarians abroad, is also celebrating its 10th anniversary. The building, which was opened in 2014, was saved from complete destruction a year earlier by Duna Médiaszolgáltató with the aim of helping to preserve the intellectual heritage of Hungarians living abroad, in accordance with the mission of the public media, with the programs of the institution, and to make it known in the Carpathian Basin and the rest of the world. with compatriots living in its corners.
