About Péter Magyar, the country and the world already know that his essence is to talk big, perhaps this urge is quieted only when he is asleep. In his speech in front of the Várkert Bazar, he managed to smear Fidesz potentates again, which the opposition Telex also jumped on, which he wished he wouldn't have done, because in this way the leader of the Tisza party acted like Ági Kunhalmi with that certain trap door.

So Péter Magyar, the vice-chairman of the Tisza Party, gave a speech in front of the Várkert Bazaar on Thursday, in which he claimed, among other things, that Tamás Deutsch, the Fidesz-KDNP MEP and current EP list leader, did not participate in 30 percent of the votes, and the 705 EP -from the penultimate representative on the list that records the number of votes. Magyar said about another Fidesz MEP, András Gyürk, that he is only called Mr. Nobody in Brussels because he participates in so few votes, Telex reported .

To verify its Hungarian claims, the newspaper used the minutes of the plenary sessions of the European Parliament and extracted the data of all 22 Hungarian MEPs from them.

Based on these, it turned out that András Gyürk took part in 78.86 percent of the votes, while Tamás Deutsch took part in 80.10 percent. Deutsch therefore only missed twenty percent of the votes, but he could have been present even more than that. There were several instances where Fidesz representatives were present at the plenary session, but simply did not vote. These were mostly topics where decisions had to be made about human rights issues or Russia. But as István Ujhelyi (MSZP) pointed out, there are times when someone cannot take part in a plenary session because he is representing the European Parliament at another event, Telex explains.

This is how the "independent-objective" dollar medium also pronounced its verdict - albeit somewhat shamefully:

Péter Magyar's statements are not true
