Fifty soldiers of Tibor Dánielfy's 205th Air Defense Missile Regiment of the Hungarian Defense Forces are also helping flood defenses on the flooded Rába River near Körmend.

The soldiers put sandbags in groups of ten under the direction of the water experts on the left bank of the river, said the commander of the unit from Győr, Captain Viktor Kiss. According to the statement of the West Transdanubian Water Administration, it will rain again in the Rába watershed from Monday morning, according to meteorological forecasts, more showers and thunderstorms are expected.

In Szentgotthárd, the Rá peaked at 422 centimeters above the third level on Sunday night, then began to recede, and at seven o'clock on Monday morning, the water level of 307 centimeters was measured.

At Körmend, the river flowed slowly all day on Sunday, the rise became more intense on Monday morning, experts expect it to peak in the evening hours with the highest water level measured so far, reaching or exceeding 535 centimeters. In Sárvár they also expect a peak higher than the third degree.

The tidal wave descending on Rába is currently between Rábagyarmat and Csákánydoroszló, the water level in Rábagyarmat peaked at 344 centimeters at 3:00 a.m., and 334 centimeters at 7:00 a.m.

The iron streams are also flowing, with the peak water level of 508 centimeters at Pinka Felsőcsatár at 2 a.m., which was 106 centimeters higher than the previous highest level measured in 2009.

At the Strém Kemestaródfa, at 6 a.m. on Monday morning, the water level is 430 centimeters and it is close to peaking. The Pinka Kemestaródfa is currently still flowing slightly, the water level was 443 centimeters at 6 a.m., the announcement states.
