Demographic experts are increasingly concerned about the future of Europe, according to the Italian Prime Minister and the Pope, the family policy of the Hungarian government is a perfect example of how to deal with the crisis.

The rate at which children are born in Europe is falling, resulting in shocking social changes, according to demographic experts, the Daily Mail reports. The article points out that in order to maintain a stable national population, every woman should give birth to at least two children, but by the end of the century only six countries will have more than 2.1: Samoa, Somalia, Tonga, Niger, Chad and Tajikistan.

According to the left-wing academic journal Lancet, the obvious solution would be for more people to come to the European Union from countries with younger populations.

However, the Daily Mail recalls that Viktor Orbán and Fidesz chose a different direction in Hungary, and then the author lists family-friendly political measures at length. He recalls that in 2010 the birth rate was at a historic low of 1.25, which increased to 1.59 in 2021, while the number of marriages doubled.

The paper emphasizes that the Hungarian model was hailed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Pope Francis as a perfect example of crisis management.
