The players of the Hungarian national team were given a day off on Tuesday and Wednesday, which several of them, under the guidance of Marco Rossi, used for the first time to visit Barnabas Varga, who is recovering in the KlinikumStutt in Stuttgart. Needless to say, the centre-forward, who suffered a serious injury against Scotland, was happy for the visitors, what's more, he might return to Allgäu among them tomorrow.

Federation captain Marco Rossi and Endre Botka, on behalf of the players, also visited Barnabás Varga in the Stuttgart hospital, who suffered a serious head injury during the European football championship in Germany on Sunday.

"Under the leadership of Marco Rossi, some members of the professional staff and Endre Botka, representing the players, visited Barnabás Varga in the hospital in Stuttgart. The visitors interpreted the wishes of the whole team to the player of the Ferencváros Torna Club," read the Facebook post of the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) on Tuesday.

The striker collided with the Scots goalkeeper in the 68th minute, after which he was nursed on the field for several minutes, then left the field on a stretcher surrounded by a sheet, and was taken from the stadium to a local hospital. He underwent facial surgery there on Monday due to multiple bone fractures and, according to the MLSZ, he is expected to be released on Wednesday.

In the third round of Group A, the Hungarian national team won 1-0 with Kevin Csoboth's goal in the 100th minute, finishing in third place with three points and still hoping to reach the round of 16.
