A new book has been published about the two legendary actors with the title Unbeatable Couple, in which former colleagues, actors, cameramen, directors, visual designers, assistant directors, screenwriters, editors, stuntmen and stunt doubles of the acting couple tell their personal experiences with them, reports Magyar Nemzet.

The Invincible couple emphasizes the human values of acting legends. The volume includes stories that reveal that Terence Hill and Bud Spencer not only stood on the side of the good in the movies, stood up to protect the fallen, but also in their private lives...

...The first film together, God Forgives, I Don't!, was forever memorable not only for Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, but also for the son of the director, Giuseppe Colizzi . "When my father made this film, I was unfortunately very young, only four or five years old. What I do remember are the long days waiting at the hotel pool with my brother and the babysitter. It was there that Bud Spencer saved my brother's life," says Alessandro Colizzi , whose words are confirmed by his brother.

I will forever be grateful to Carlo Pedersoli , aka Bud Spencer, for saving my life, says the director's youngest son, Pier Francesco Colizzi . – We were in Almeria, in the hotel pool, and as I dived to the bottom, an arm reaching into the water grabbed me. When he pulled out, he asked: "Whose child is this?" I was three years old at the time.

This was not the first time that the world's biggest slapper saved a life. As a water polo player in the 50s, he got used to pulling people out of the water.

Cristiana Pedersoli, recalled her father's memories . – One of the races was held on the coast of Salerno, where the auditorium was a small wooden structure perched on a cliff overhanging the sea. This grandstand fell into the sea during the match. My father, who was playing in that match, immediately rushed to the aid of the people who fell into the water. At the end, his arm hurt, which was no wonder, because he had rescued about ten people from the water."...

Terence Hill, the later film partner of the Neapolitan lad who advanced from athlete to actor, is also not shy when it comes to saving lives. However, he proved his courage not in the water, but on land.

"I was also a little angry," says producer Josi Konski , who now lives in the United States and has worked with the Italian actors in countless films, "when he took unnecessary risks." He was a real hero. I heard from his wife that in New York she saw a woman being abused on the street and saved her. However, during the fight, the attacker stabbed him in such a way that Terence almost died."...

… Few people know about Bud Spencer, that he lived as a deeply religious, exemplary family man and spoke six languages. Since the actor himself was visually impaired, he campaigned for the blind throughout his life, and regularly supported the disabled as a UNICEF ambassador. His creed was the fight against drugs, as shown in the Piedone films. But not only did he take up the gauntlet against drug use, he rejected everything that changes nature or naturalness. Throughout his life, he emphasized the importance of the family, the protection of women, and the support of the weak and downtrodden. Like his friend and co-star Terence Hill, who is also a deeply religious man, his role model is St. Francis of Assisi, and he raised two adopted children in addition to his own.
