The boy who became famous for his video games and miracles, nicknamed the "influenza of God", will be the church's first Gen Y saint.

A decision has been made regarding the canonization of Carlo Acutis: the Pope and his cardinals have accepted the canonization of the young Italian boy, Mandiner reports based on an article from Catholic News Agency .

The London-born boy has been helping the poor in Milan since the age of 9, giving all his pocket money to the needy and living a humble life - for example, he only had one pair of shoes so he could help more of those who had less.

The boy who earned the nickname "God's flu" died of leukemia in 2006, but before that he created a website that celebrated the miracles taking place in the world.

Two miracles are associated with his name : the first one was accepted by the Catholic Church in 2020, after, according to several reports, praying to him cured a Brazilian boy who was unable to digest food due to a congenital pancreatic disorder. Carlo Acutis, who used to play Halo, Super Mario and Pokémon with preference, was canonized at that time.

The second miracle was accepted by Pope Francis just a few weeks ago. A Costa Rican girl suffered a bicycle accident in Florence, but her head injury was healed after her mother Acutis prayed to her at the tomb in Assisi.

Although the time for the canonization of Carlo Acutis has not yet been set,

likely to be canonized at the Catholic Church's 2025 jubilee celebration.

This will make him one of the youngest saints, and his canonization process may also be one of the fastest.
