According to legal experts, the scandalous messiah of the left may have committed the crime of robbery when he took a man's mobile phone after his unclassifiable behavior.

As is known, a week and a half ago, Péter Magyar forcibly took a guest's mobile phone at a nightclub, with the obvious intention of stealing it. The legal experts interviewed by Metropol unanimously claim that he committed the crime of robbery in the criminal code.

In similar cases, almost without exception, courts imposed multi-year prison sentences.

The legal facts are as follows: BTK. according to paragraph 365:

Anyone who takes a foreign thing from another person for the purpose of wrongful appropriation and thereby uses violence (...) against someone (...) is punishable by two to eight years' imprisonment for the crime of robbery.

The politician himself did not deny that Péter Magyar forcibly took the high-value mobile phone. In addition, the use of violence is proven by several witnesses. According to the unanimous testimony, Magyar not only hit the owner of the phone, but also forcibly wrenched the phone from his hand.

Thus, all elements of the criminal facts have been fulfilled.

According to established jurisprudence, Hungarian courts usually act as strictly as possible against criminals who commit robbery with violence.

The crime committed by Péter Magyar is very similar to, for example, a robbery in 2016, when a 19-year-old thief forcibly took a 14-year-old girl's mobile phone on the bus, essentially ripping it out of her hand, just like Péter Magyar.

The suspect was sentenced to 2 years in prison on charges of robbery in an accelerated procedure.

There was also a memorable case in 2022, when a 31-year-old man from Budapest stole phones from unsuspecting people on tram 1 and at stops. Like Péter Magyar, the perpetrator ripped out and twisted the mobile phones of his victims from their hands.

He was also sentenced to prison.

According to the legal experts interviewed by Metropol, actual physical violence is not necessarily necessary for the realization of violence, robbery is already the case if the owner of the stolen object is simply threatened. If even one thing is taken from the victim following the threat, the robbery is accomplished.

If the victim is hit, if physical violence is used against him, it is already an aggravating factor.

However, in the case of Péter Magyar, according to the statements of witnesses and his own statements, physical violence took place, it was not just a verbal threat!

Péter Magyar not only punched the owner of the phone, but forcibly snatched the phone from his hand. What he clearly took, he put it in his pocket and took it out of the nightclub.

In addition, he also damaged other property after that, since, and this is also confirmed by several witnesses in unison, he threw the device into the Danube from the quay next to the Chain Bridge. Almost every day we read news about similar crimes.

Due to the increase in the number of crimes of this type, the courts are increasingly imposing enforceable prison sentences for the sake of prevention, even if the perpetrator is not a repeat offender.

According to the legal experts interviewed by Metropol, in the case of Péter Magyar, according to the available data, videos and testimonies, a prison sentence is likely to be imposed as a cumulative punishment for robbery, disorderly conduct and vandalism.

As is well known, Péter Magyar behaved scandalously at the end of June at a popular nightclub in downtown Pest. After drinking quite a few drinks, the politician became more and more violent. On several occasions he crawled between the guests' legs on all fours.

A guest tried to record the politician's scandalous behavior with his phone. Péter Magyar approached him, hit him, and then, using physical violence, forcibly stole his phone.

He was removed from the nightclub due to the scandalous and violent behavior of the security guards. Since he refused to leave of his own accord and even acted aggressively, they took him out using force.

Several witnesses and the video of the incident testify that he then staggered down to the Danube and threw the stolen device from the quay into the river.
