MKIF Magyar Koncessziós Infrastruktura Fejlsztő Zrt takes over the operation of one of the Peter Cerny Foundation's emergency vehicles for a quarter of a year and supports it with HUF 66 million.
According to a joint announcement by MKIF, the Peter Cerny Foundation and the Pro Filii Foundation, the company will ensure the uninterrupted operation of the flagship of the domestic premature and newborn rescue for three months.
In the announcement, it was written that the relationship between the company that operates, maintains and renovates most of the Hungarian expressways and the Peter Cerny Foundation began last year. In August 2023, the company supported the purchase of a so-called blood gas analysis device for ambulances through the Pro Filii Foundation. The device is able to provide doctors with life-saving information on the spot from a drop of blood about the kind of care a little one in need of help needs - they explained, adding that this device saved a life on the very first day.
In the announcement, Tamás Németh, CEO of MKIF Zrt., was quoted as saying about the support: "MKIF Zrt. was created to make the use of domestic expressways managed by the company as smooth and safe as possible at a higher level of service. We feel it is our duty to support the organization that provides the same safety to premature and newborn babies in the central Hungarian region. Our company is proud that we can once again support this socially important and special task through the Pro Filii Foundation and be of help to the helpers," emphasized the CEO, according to the announcement.
The Peter Cerny Foundation for the Treatment of Sick Premature Babies, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary in a few days, has continuously operated the 24/7 premature ambulance ambulance service since 1989.
- they reminded in the announcement, adding that in the central Hungarian region with four million inhabitants, the foundation ensures the optimal start of life and quality survival of 2,800 premature and sick newborns out of 35,000 births every year. During its operation, the foundation has so far participated in the rescue and professional transport of more than 95 thousand premature and sick newborns.
Speaking about the support, Zsolt Somogyvári, the president of the Peter Cerny Foundation, emphasized:

On behalf of all the professionals of the Peter Cerny Foundation Ambulance Service, we gratefully thank you for the quick and literally life-saving support, with which we will be able to ensure the rescue and transport of nearly 700 premature babies during the summer"
