It is important for Hungarians that China advocates for peace in the world, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated on Monday in Beijing, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The prime minister recalled that Hungarians have been living in the shadow of a war for two and a half years.

The Hungarian peace-loving people. He strives for peace, balance and harmony, so "we are always on the side of peace and never on the side of war," he said.

For us, it is of great importance that China advocates: there should be peace, not war, in the world - declared the Hungarian Prime Minister.

In the case of the conflict taking place in the neighborhood of Hungary, we highly appreciate your peace initiative, said Viktor Orbán, addressing his words to Xi Jinping.

He recalled that the Chinese president visited Hungary two months ago. The Prime Minister called the meeting at that time of historical importance. He added that serious agreements were made, but more importantly, the friendship between the two peoples was established for several generations, because Xi Jinping's visit was convincing and cordial, which proved to the Hungarian people the goodwill and respect of China for Hungary.

"Several generations will live on from that visit, from the memory of the visit you made to Budapest," declared Viktor Orbán.

He thanked the Chinese president for raising the level of relations between the two countries.

In the past two months, we worked continuously to fill this form with content - he said, thanking that their delegations were able to make progress in the cooperation.

Viktor Orbán congratulated Xi Jinping on China's strength and stability, which it means to the whole world "in this turbulent world politics".
