The Spanish national football team turned around from a deficit and defeated the French team 2-1 in the semifinals of the European Championship played in Munich on Tuesday, reaching the finals of the continental competition for the fifth time in its history.

The World Championship silver medalist France started the match better, scoring the leading goal early on with a header from Kolo Muani, but Spain turned it around in four minutes with goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo. At the age of 16 years and 362 days, Yamal became the youngest scorer in the history of the European Championship.

The Spanish can play for the trophy again after 1964, 1984, 2008 and 2012.

The opponent of the Spanish national team will be the semi-finalist of England-Netherlands on Wednesday in the final in Berlin on Sunday.

1st half:
———-
9th minute: Mbappé delivered the ball superbly from the left side, and Kolo Muani rose excellently in front of the goal, and it was not difficult for him to nod into the net from three meters (0-1).
21st minute: Yamal beat Rabiot one-on-one with a body trick, thereby creating a shooting position for himself and spectacularly curling the ball into Maignan's goal from 25 meters - with the help of the right goal post - (1-1).
25th minute: a ball sent by the French was excellently received by Olmo, he tricked his defender, then aimed for the lower right corner, and the ball hit the foot of Koundé, who was trying to save, into the goal (2-1).

Due to Pedri's injury in the quarter-finals, and Dani Carvajal and Robin Le Normand's red and yellow card suspensions, Spanish national team captain Luis de la Fuente was not available. Carvajal was replaced by world and European champion Jesús Navas, Nacho started in Le Normand's place, and Dani Olmo, who scored in both the last two games, took over Pedri's duties. On the other side, Didier Deschamps was able to send the strongest French starter to the field, and moreover, Adrien Rabiot, who was forced to miss the quarter-final against Portugal due to a yellow card suspension, was able to return.

The Spaniards started a bit better, creating a great chance in the fifth minute, but Fabián Ruíz headed over the goal from close range. The French first hit the opponent's goal in the ninth minute, but it also resulted in a goal, with Kolo Muani's header giving the World Championship silver medalist team the advantage. Not long after, Mbappé created a shooting position for himself, but his attempt was blocked by the Spanish defenders, and then Yamal became the youngest European goalscorer of all time with a beautiful goal. The equalizer gave Spain a boost, and after four minutes Olmo's great individual movement and Koundé's unfortunate save attempt led the Iberian national team. In the time remaining until the break, the French forced the attacks, the Spaniards tried countermeasures, but the score did not change.

After the turn, France remained the more proactive, Spain mainly tried to keep the ball and put a lot of emphasis on defense. As time progressed, it became more and more clear that the 2-1 result was perfect for the Spanish, so they did everything to keep it. The French tried with honor, but they could not establish superiority in ball possession, so they rarely got a chance or a shot on goal. In the first half, the Spaniards effectively bided their time or committed fouls when necessary, and France could not find an antidote to their rival's play, thus missing out on the final.
