The Hungarian swimmer already has a silver medal and a fourth place from the competition.

Hubert Kós triumphed in the 100-meter backstroke at the US Open swimming competition in Greensboro, North Carolina. According to swimswam.com, this year's 200-meter backstroke world champion won the international competition in the 50-meter pool with 53.19 seconds, while Benedek Kovács came second in the B final (54.94).

Kós, who won the silver medal in the 200 medley a day earlier, finished fourth in the 100-meter butterfly with a time of 51.59, 28 hundredths behind the winner and world record holder, American Caeleb Dressel. Dominik Márk Török, a student at the University of Wisconsin, was second in the B final in the 400 medley with 4:20.04 minutes.
