Rotten meat, children's play with dog's blood and dying four-legged animals - the court hearing of the shocking Nagykőrös dog fight continued with police recordings.

For two days, the judge showed the frames of the dogs that were allegedly tortured and fought.

They kept the dogs out of love and love for animals, the defendants of the Nagykőrös dog fight claimed earlier. The hearing of the highly publicized case has been going on in the court for months, and Judge Adrienn Rácz presented the sometimes stomach-turning footage of the police for two days this week.

Although the frames were shocking, the faces of around 10 people lined up on the docks showed indifference, even when the cameras recorded the last minutes of one of the four-legged ones. Members of the Fans for Animals Foundation watched the events in the court building, on the projector of another courtroom. Earlier, they handed over the laptop connected to the fights to the police, which also started the investigation into the case.

He smiled at the sight of the dying dog

Even if a dog was the winner of a fight, it was hardly in better condition than the loser. The judge showed videos of three bull-type dogs. In the first recording, the black pit bull was lying almost motionless on the back seat of a car when the police arrived.

There were fresh injuries on the dog's body, which were probably sprayed with bluish paint by its owners. It was claimed that the dog was only taken to be covered, but the veterinarian quickly determined that the dog was not on fire, and that the wounds, which were still bleeding in some places, were caused by another dog.

This dog was hidden from the police by the first-rate, juvenile defendant in the case. The black pit bull, the loser of the fight, was in such bad shape that the uniformed officers carried him out of the building by the hand. The body of the dog lying motionless was covered with bite marks, which were also sprayed with paint. He had a harness on his body with the words "my love" in red letters on it.

Don't die, give me one more chance!

- was heard on the recording, but it was not the owner, but the police who tried to keep the spirit of the young dog. Now sitting in the place of the accused, his owner smiled, which the judge immediately recorded.

A bun-colored dog was found in a dark kennel, it is believed that he entered the ring a long time ago, because his body was covered with old wounds. The tethered dog was also brought out to search for a chip. Upon seeing the police, all three dogs started wagging their tails as much as their energy allowed. More dogs were found at the scene, most of them chained and watching the uniformed men.

Rotten meat sizzled

The meat, which had worms and mold growing in it in an exposed barrel, was literally bubbling. The approximately one hundred kilos of chicken remains were laid out by the dogs' kennel, but the accused claimed that the dogs did not get any of it. However, the police did not find any other food, which may indicate that it was used to feed the dogs. However, there were at least five more from the barrel around the house.

I cooked fresh meat for them every day! I wanted to dig this leftover!

- the defendant defended himself, emphasizing several times that the area - thanks to a thorough cleaning - has not looked like this since then.

The area could be divided into two parts, in the first part non-fighting dogs lived behind the bars of the kennels. The bulls were chained in a weedy area, also in the company of rotten meat.

They found a weapon in the vicinity of the farm, the carcass of a puppy almost reduced to a skeleton, and an animal that had just died. There was a dog that had to be euthanized by the vet due to the progress of its illness.

Children's toys next to bloodstains

The supposed ring was found at one of the properties where the fights were held. The area was clearly divided, and drops of blood were discovered at the dividing line during the investigation, already dried in the concrete. Around them were rows of bicycles used by small children.

A treadmill, a baseball bat and animal antlers were also lying nearby, the latter used during fights to adjust the skin on the dogs' mouths. According to the police, they also had an object that is mostly used by Sinters, but according to the accused, it was not used on dogs, but on pigs when they were taken to be slaughtered.

According to the indictment, the remains of the dogs killed in the fights were thrown with the pigs in order to hide the tracks.

More than a hundred crimes

According to the indictment, most of the defendants must be held responsible for the organization of illegal animal fights and animal cruelty committed in relation to those started at prohibited animal fights, but there are also those who are suspected of animal cruelty committed in connection with the breeding of vertebrate animals for the purpose of illegal animal fights, misuse of firearms, improper keeping of animals , or endangering a minor.

THE CASE INVOLVES A TOTAL OF 159 CRIMINALS.

It turned out that several members of the company have been dealing with American Staffordshire terrier dog breeds for years. They were specifically bred to compete in animal fights. The fights between the dogs were organized among themselves, with bets on the victory of the individual dogs, and were held in front of an audience. In addition to the sums received from the bets, they also benefited financially from the fact that the many winning fights, the increasingly aggressive ones were mated with each other, and the puppies were sold.

The investigators seized a total of 100 dogs. None of them were older than 5 years. Older dogs, unfit for fighting, were probably either not kept, or they may have died in the middle of the fights.

The case has been pending with the authorities for four years, but animal rights activists have already tried to draw attention to the cruelty.
