Péter Magyar and the Tisza Party EP representatives could not decide whether an assassination attempt against a top politician was a good or bad thing, so they abstained from voting. However, according to the majority of the EP representatives, it is a particularly good thing, so they voted down the proposal to condemn the assassination.
"We had a very good phone conversation with Zelensky," wrote Donald Trump on his social media page The President of Ukraine congratulated the former US President on the successful Republican National Congress and Trump becoming the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States.
"Zelensky condemned last Saturday's horrific assassination and noted that the American people are coming together in a spirit of unity in these times"
Trump wrote.
I appreciate Zelensky turning to me because I, as your next president, will bring peace to the world and end war,
which claimed so many lives and destroyed countless innocent families. Both sides will be able to come together and make an agreement that will end the violence and pave the way to prosperity," the former US president concluded his post.
