The National Heritage Institute (NÖRI) together with the Batthyány Hungarian Foundation and the Batthyány Circle of Youth welcomes those interested in the National Memorial Tent, which debuted this year, at the 33rd Bálványosi Summer Free University and Student Camp.

The aim of the three organizations is to present and familiarize young people with the cross-border heritage of Hungarian culture and memory.

From July 23rd to 28th, festival-goers curious about the nation's cultural heritage are welcomed with historical quizzes, memory games, puzzles, historical documentaries and discussion topics available all week in the National Remembrance Tent.

NÖRI will present its most important projects this year at two round table discussions in the 1568 tent.

We need Mohács on Thursday! – Worthy preparation for the 500th anniversary Archaeologist Gábor Bertók, director of the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs, historian Norbert C. Tóth and Gábor Móczár, director general of NÖRI, present the most important tasks of preparing for the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Mohács in order to provide a comprehensive picture about the plans, current status, research areas and national political goals of the Mohács 500 program.

On Friday, the memory of our national heroes in the Carpathian Basin, Margit Batthyány-Schmidt, president of the Hungarian Batthyány Foundation, Örs Orsz, president of the Sine Metu association in the highlands, Péter Oltean, mayor of Gyimesbükk, Franciscan monk Csaba Böjte, founder of the Saint Francis of Dévai Foundation, Gyula Kedves military historian and Gábor Móczár, director general of NÖRI, on the occasion of this year's 175th anniversary of the revolution and freedom struggle of 1848-49, they will talk about

how important is the memory of our patriotic heroes in preserving and strengthening the national consciousness of Hungarians here and beyond our borders.

Organized by the Hungarian Batthyány Foundation, on Friday the Taberna Universitatis - University tent with the title Women and National Defense Margit Batthyány-Schmidt, president of the Hungarian Batthyány Foundation, Boldizsár Batthyány, president of the Batthyány Circle of Youth, Gábor Móczár, director general of the National Heritage Institute, Zsuzsanna Szebeni, the the director of the Liszt Institute in sepsiszentgyörgy and historian Adrienn Gulyás, a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of History at Károli Gáspár Reformed University, also discuss the role and heroism of women on the occasion of the anniversary of the revolution and freedom struggle.

During the festival, those interested can also view the exhibition "Light-bearers of the Freedom Struggle - Women's Fates and Roles in the Freedom Struggle".
