An expert pointed out the great potential of our country.
After Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in New York, he revealed that the war in Ukraine and issues of bilateral cooperation were also discussed at the meeting. The minister also addressed the issue of natural gas and crude oil supply to our country, pointing out that there are still no problems in the former field, but in the case of the latter, Lukoil is currently not delivering to Hungary via Ukraine, but they are looking for a legal solution to restart the transit.
"The suspension of Lukoil deliveries by the Ukrainians was basically a one-sided, rude and unfriendly step, especially with regard to the fact that Hungary and Slovakia also provided humanitarian aid to Ukraine, took in Ukrainian citizens and regularly advocate for a ceasefire and peace," he emphasized Zoltán Tamás Cseh, energy advisor of the Hungarian National
The embargo can be circumvented in such a way that the Hungarian side takes over these shipments not at the Hungarian-Ukrainian border but at the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
Zoltán Tamás Cseh emphasized that the supply of our country is not threatened in the short term, despite the Ukrainian move, because Hungary has large oil reserves.
According to Gergely Gulyás, Ukraine is blackmailing Hungary and Slovakia, the two countries that consistently stand for peace, by stopping the supply of crude oil.
