The Polish Deputy Foreign Minister sharply criticized Viktor Orbán's speech on Saturday, saying that the Hungarian Prime Minister is anti-Polish and would do better if he founded a new alliance with Putin.
In Péter Szijjártó's reply, he wrote that until now they had tolerated Warsaw's hypocrisy and provocations in view of Polish-Hungarian friendship, but now the cup is full.
Several people have already reacted to Viktor Orbán's speech in Tusványosi, but now the Poles, who were mentioned a lot in the presentation, have also joined. According to Deputy Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski, Orbán's speech was an attack on Poland, the USA, the European Union and NATO.
"We do not do business with Russia, unlike Prime Minister Orbán, who has been pushed to the margins of international society, both in the European Union and in NATO"
Bartoszewski told the Polish Business Insider .
Viktor Orbán: The Poles do the most eye-rolling politics in all of Europe
The deputy minister does not understand why Hungary is still in NATO, if, according to Viktor Orbán, they treat it like a stepchild. He asked the question, why doesn't Orbán establish a new alliance with Putin and the other authoritarian countries? "If you don't want to be a club member, you can quit," he said.
He is blocking EU reimbursement of our military aid to Ukraine and says he will continue to block it. There used to be a saying: "Polish, Hungarian, two good friends" , but now there is a quarrel in the family
Bartoszewski concluded.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said this week: Hungary will block the payment of EUR 6.5 billion in compensation for the transfer of weapons from the European Peace Framework to Ukraine until Kiev makes it possible for Lukoil to transport oil through Ukraine to Hungary again.
Péter Szijjártó reacted on social media to the words of the Polish Deputy Foreign Minister. According to him, the Polish government is a hypocrite, because they criticize the Hungarian government because they import crude oil from Russia, while they do the same:
"if you take a good look at the list of customers of one of the largest Russian oil companies, you will definitely find the Poles there."
There would be nothing wrong with that, because the energy supply ultimately has physical foundations, but if it has already turned out this way, then you shouldn't be a hypocrite and you shouldn't blame others
- stated the foreign minister, who said that "with the intention of preserving the Polish-Hungarian brotherhood, we tolerated the provocations and hypocrisy of the current Polish government for a long time, but now the cup is full".
Coming back after a fall
Orbán Viktor Tusványoson said that the United States wants to make Poland the American center of Europe - however, this is a dead plan, similar to Ukraine's EU and NATO accession. The prime minister said he believed the Poles would return to the V4 after their plan failed.
He also accused the Poles, according to Business Insider, of weakening the Berlin-Paris axis in Europe in order to strengthen the London-Warsaw-Kiev-Baltic-Scandinavia line.
