The four new ships of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. (Bahart) received prestigious international recognitions just a few months after their launch.

The new ships won the world's most prestigious design award, the RED DOT Design Award, as well as the renowned international IF Design Award. The former can be won by excellence in industrial design.

Bahart's boats were awarded in the product design category. According to the announcement, the IF Design award, founded in 1953, is also one of the most important design awards globally, with which outstanding quality and innovation are valued. The works of the winners are presented in the IF World Design Guide and also at the IF Design exhibitions

According to Bahart's information, Bahart's two new catamarans and two new ferries received both awards, with which passenger comfort, large capacity, sustainability, safe operation and fuel efficiency were awarded. The modern appearance and functionality of the ships also contributed greatly to winning the award.

Bahart emphasizes:

thanks to the new ferries and catamarans, the schedule on Lake Balaton has become denser, and the range of programs has expanded. The lake's environmental load has also been reduced, as the boats have low-emission engines that comply with the latest emission standards.

According to the website of Bahart, which is majority owned by the state, the company's fleet currently consists of 6 ferries, 14 passenger ships and 6 nostalgia ships.
