Zeng Zhiying, the Chinese-born table tennis player, was considered one of the best in the world at the age of 18 and was expected to win the Olympic title. But only now, at the age of 58, can his dream come true.
Why?
Because the racket he used was banned at the same time, and it completely ruined Zeng Zhiying's game, who at the age of 20 had enough and retired from the sport, moved to Chile and took up a casual job.
Zeng Zhiying didn't even think about his sport for decades after that. But the coronavirus came. And the table tennis player was so bored in confinement that he ordered a table and started hitting again.
And he fell back in love with his sport at such a level that he finally made his dream come true and represented Chile at the 2024 Olympics at the age of 58!
