Several soldiers previously registered as missing were found to have died at the front.

More and more Transcarpathians are dying from the Russian-Ukrainian war. Kárpátinfo reported that 34-year-old Sergeant Mihajlo Jurak from the Rahó district had died . The soldier died on July 31, 2024, near the town of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. Jurak was mobilized in June 2022, the date of his funeral will be announced later.

In the past few days, the portal also reported in some articles that several soldiers previously registered as missing were found to be dead.

So did Jevhen Oniszko, a 32-year-old resident of the town of Vinohradív (Nagyszőlős) in the Beregszász district, who was not known from December 2023. Oniszko died near the settlement of Robotine in Zaporizhzhya county, this was confirmed on July 31, 2024 as a result of a DNA test.

Mikola Boklazsuk, a 43-year-old resident of Jaszinya (Kőrösmező) in the Rahó district, who died in the war, was listed as missing from July 2023. Boklazsuk was born on December 14, 1980 in the village of Kvási (Tiszaborkút), and later lived with his family in the settlement of Jaszinya (Kőrösmező).

On December 27, 2022, he was called up for military service as part of mobilization and served as a driver. 44-year-old Anatoly Voloschuk from Nagybocskó also died. The Transcarpathian soldier died on July 3, 2023 in the Sumy area, and they did not know about him for more than a year. Voloschuk's funeral took place on August 1, 2024.
