The victory of Fidesz led by Viktor Orbán is good for Romania from the point of view of good neighborliness between the countries, Csoma Botond declared on Monday in the Romanian Parliament.

The parliamentary group leader of the Romanian Hungarian Democratic Union (RMDSZ) explained: in his opinion, Orbán's victory has only positive consequences for Romania.

Both Viktor Orbán and Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó have stated several times that Hungary is interested in good neighborly relations with Romania. (…) I think that of all of Romania's neighbors, Hungary has the best relationship, so I think that the re-election of Orbán and the election victory of Fidesz in Hungary is also a positive thing in Romania,' said Csoma Botond.

He added that Viktor Orbán and Péter Szijjártó emphasized 'countless times' that the Hungarian minority in Romania forms a bridge between Romania and Hungary and that they strive for good relations with Romania.
