We have an opponent for our men's water polo team in the direct elimination stage of the Paris Olympics. One thing is for sure, the Zalánkis will really need their form against the Serbs, because they will jump into the pool against the Italians, who have won the silver medal in the World Championship and the bronze medal in the European Championship. Our future opponent is in great shape, having only suffered a 9-8 defeat to the Greeks during the group stage.
The Hungarian men's water polo team defeated defending champion Serbia 17-13 in the last round of the Olympic group stage. The Hungarian team mainly laid the foundations for success with a spectacular second quarter, when they scored seven goals.
The American national team defeated the Croatian team 14-11 in the men's water polo tournament of the Paris Olympics, so it was decided that the third-placed Hungarians in the group will meet the second-placed Italians in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
