It didn't go well in extra time: she fought hard, but the Olympics ended for the Hungarian women's handball team in the quarterfinals. Well done girls!

The Hungarian women's handball team did not make it to the top four at the Paris Olympics after losing 36-32 to the Swedish team in Lille in Tuesday's quarterfinals after extra time.

The team of national team captain Vladimir Golovin ended the group stage with two wins, one draw and two defeats in third place, so they met the Scandinavians, who finished second in the other six.

The Hungarian team fell behind by four goals in the middle of the first half, and was limited to one goal until the break. He led in the last minute of the balanced second half, but the Swedes equalized and proved to be better in extra time.

The Olympics are over for the Hungarian national team. Whether it finishes in sixth or seventh place depends on the outcome of the last quarter-final, the meeting between Norway and Brazil. Most recently, in Tokyo, the national team finished seventh.
