The start of the North African boxer caused a huge response worldwide.

The Uzbek competitor won both the 71- and 92-kilogram weight categories in the men's boxing tournament of the Paris Olympics on Friday in the final of the relevant weight group. In the women's competition, China won gold in the 50-kilogram category, while Algerian Imané Helif, who defeated Luca Hámori, won the 66-kilogram category. Algerian Imané Helif, who saw off Luca Hámori in the quarter-finals and caused a scandal with her performance, won the women's 66 kg final with a unanimous score against her Chinese opponent. Jang Liu was the closest in the second round, but Helif won each round by unanimous decision.

The start of the North African boxer caused a huge response worldwide, because he was excluded from last year's World Championship by the International Sports Federation (IBA) due to his too high testosterone level, and Umar Kremlov, the president of the IBA, said that according to the tests, he has the XY chromosome characteristic of men, however, the IOC allowed him to compete in the Olympics.

For the men, both finals were decided by a unanimous score of 5:0.
