On the programs of the House of Traditions, visitors are welcomed with craft activities, craft demonstrations, puppet theater, children's dance lessons, concerts, storytelling, and a folk playground between August 17 and 20 at the Festival of Crafts in Buda Castle.
On all four days of the event, the Fabatka porta folk playground, the Dance of the Little Ones program, and live storytelling await children and adults alike. In addition, those interested can watch performances on Dísz tér, such as Ziránó Theater's puppet theater production Jankó Babszem or Paár Julcsi's family fairy tale concert Kerekerdő.
At the end of the day, concerts combined with singing lessons and instrument demonstrations will be performed by the Bére band, the Korinda band and the band of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
Visitors to the Hágyomány Háza stand can meet the various forms of folk art in a high-quality, authentic interpretation, as well as gain their own experiences of its comprehensive craft activities and education, said Márta Legeza, a professional staff member of the Hágyomány Háza Folk Crafts and Folk Crafts Department.
At the event, anyone can get a taste of handicrafts, there will be items that can be quickly made and taken home, as well as crafts that can be tried out and learned there. This year, basket weaving, weaving and felting will be in the spotlight, said Márta Legeza.
According to the organizers' previous statement, at the event organized by the Association of Folk Art Associations (NESZ), in which Turkish traditions will be the focus this year, visitors can choose from the works of about a thousand folk artists and folk craftspeople, and in more than a hundred visual workshops they can learn about the mysteries of the ancient trades and the Carpathian with the work of the pool's craft communities.
