Historical adventures, traditional presentations and creative workshops await families with children on St. Stephen's Day this year, the organizers announced.

According to the announcement, the Szent Jobb and the Golden Train exhibition in Alkotmány utca will be of particular interest to visitors again this year. The reconstruction of the train set made in 1938, for the 900th anniversary of the death of St. Stephen, is the site of an interactive historical adventure.

The most talented representatives of the Hungarian fashion and design world await the guests of Saint Stephen's Day at the Fashion & Design Festival in Millenáris Park. At the workshops and interactive sessions, those interested can try out a wide variety of creative techniques, be it jewelry making, clay making or embroidery, they wrote.

On the Heroes' Road, the most memorable moments of Hungarian history come to life: on the Árpád Tóth Promenade, visitors can experience exciting scenes from the past with the participation of traditionalist groups and actors.

As they wrote, the Festival of Crafts held in Buda Castle is one of the country's largest folk art festivals, which offers a special experience for the whole family.

At the event, which evokes the atmosphere of traditional fairs, the participants of the series of celebrations can gain an insight into the secrets of folk crafts and can even try the various craft techniques themselves, they added.

The organizers emphasized that the center of St. Stephen's Day children's programs is the Városliget again this year. In the Magic Grove, the court of King István comes to life and the little ones can also meet the fairy-tale heroes of István Csukás.

Countless programs await families at the event venue between Vajdahunyad Castle and the Károly Kós Promenade; in addition to the prince and princess training programs, interactive fairy-tale performances, handicrafts and various thematic exhibitions guarantee endless entertainment, the announcement reads.

And those who would like to take an easy, yet exhilarating walk can do so on the Promenade of Cities, where visitors can see the flags of every city in Hungary and interesting information, the organizers wrote.
