The program of the last day of the World Cup in Uzbekistan continued at 1:04 p.m. Hungarian time with the 5,000-meter finals.

First, the mixed pair of Takács Kincső and Jonatán Hajdu won a silver medal in the C-2,500 meters on Sunday in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, at the kayak-canoe world championship for numbers not included in the Olympic program, then the mixed kayak foursome of Laura Ujfalvi, Márk Opavszky, Emese Kőhalmi, and Gergely Balogh finished second C-2 at 500 meters,

thus two Hungarian silver medals were won in the morning program.

At the opening of the program in the early afternoon, in the women's K-1 200 meters, rookie Janka Rugonfalvi-Kiss fought a huge battle for the podium, the 20-year-old competitor was only six thousandths of a second behind her Danish rival for the bronze medal. Later, the Hungarian federation informed MTI that the organizers consider the results of the two competitors to be the same time, so Bolette Nyvang Iversen and Rugonfalvi-Kiss will also receive bronze medals. In the men's sprint, Balázs Birkás, multiple world champion in doubles, was part of an equally exciting finish, and the European champion from Szeged also finished in fourth place. Dóra Horányi and Takács Kincső were interested in the shortest distance of the women's canoe teams, the former already won a silver medal with Jonatán Hajdu in the 500-meter final of the mixed doubles in the morning. The Hungarians progressed in the middle field all the way and finished in fifth place. Jonatán Hajdu entered the boat as a four-time World Cup silver medalist in the men's canoe individual sprint event, where he did not have a chance for another medal, however, and ended up fifth.

The middle part of the competition day ended with two new numbers in Uzbekistan, namely the 500-meter races of the four-person mixed units. Among the kayakers, Laura Ujfalvi, Márk Opavszky, Emese Kőhalmi and Gergely Balogh were the first to get into the boat in the final, of whom Kőhalmi won the only gold of the Hungarian delegation so far in the K-1 1000 meters on Saturday.

The Hungarian quartet distributed their strength brilliantly, were on the podium all the way, and in the end only the Belarusians could overtake them by about half a boat length.

For the canoeists, Virág Balla, Giada Bragato, Kristóf Kollár and István Juhász were interested in the eight-team final, and although they had a chance for a medal, they finished fifth.

The program of the last day of the WC in Samarkand continued at 13:04 Hungarian time with the 5,000-meter finals, where Adolf Balázs won the bronze medal in the individual canoe race. The continental competition continued wonderfully, as the first gold medal was finally won on Sunday,

Emese Kőhalmi finished first in the 5,000 meter individual kayak race.
