Restrictions, significant delays, and train outages are still to be expected on the railway lines that touch the Keleti railway station, where the Claudiopolis intercity from Cluj to Budapest derailed on Sunday evening.

Keleti railway station will not start or receive trains for an indefinite period of time due to the accident on Sunday evening, trains will arrive and depart from other stations in Budapest, Mávinform announced on Monday morning.

According to the announcement, that's why

longer delivery times should be expected.

Technical rescue continues at the scene of the accident. Specialists are constantly lifting derailed cars back up so that traffic can resume as soon as possible.

The railway tickets are valid for these BKV lines

According to their description, the train tickets are valid for the entire line of the M2, M4 metro and the HÉV HÉV, as well as for reaching Kőbánya upper station on trams 23 and 24 between Keleti pályaudvar and Orczy tér, the 37- es and 37A trams between Magdolna utca and Kőbánya upper railway station, to reach Rákos railway station, take buses 97E, 161, 161E, 168E, 169E from Örs vezér tere (routes 97E and 169E also stop at Rákos).

    Replacement buses run on the Keleti railway station (Kerepesi út bus terminus) - Kőbánya felző (Albertirsai út) - Rákos railway station section. Buses run continuously.

International flights

On the Budapest–Győr–Hegyeshalom line, the ICs from Szombathely and Sopron, the Railjets, the ECs from Vienna, the two morning long-distance passenger trains (9309, 9307) from Hegyeshalom run to and from Budapest-Kelenföld, while the

Dacia international express train (346) from Bucharest to Vienna does not touch Keleti railway station,

instead, you can board it at Ferencváros and Kelenföld stations in Budapest.

These flights will be canceled for the time being

On the Budapest–Hatvan–Miskolc line, the Tokaj ICs and the Hernád–Zemplén ICs run until Hatvan and return to Miskolc from there.

trains S80 from Gödöllő, Asód and G80 from Isászeg do not run, instead, IR85 Mátra and IR87 Agria InterRégios' capital terminus will be transferred to Kőbánya felső, they will stop at all stations and stops between Kőbánya felső and Aszód.

On the Budapest–Újszász–Szolnok line, the Békéscsaba ICs travel to Szolnok and return from there.

and the capital terminus of trains Z60, G60 and S60 will be transferred to Rákos.

During the morning rush hour, all G60 trains depart from Szolnok to Budapest, from Nagykáta they continue as S60 trains to Rákos, during the day there is a Z60 train in each direction between Rákos and Szolnok, and an S60 train between Rákos and Sülysáp.

He recommends traveling between Budapest and Szolnok on the Cegléd line, between Nyugati pályaudvar and Szolnok

(Tokaj IC, Nyírség IC, Cívis InterRégió), which can be used on this section without changing tickets.

MÁVinform has since also announced that the Cívis InterRégió (IR 6019) traveling on the affected line, going from Debrecen to Nyugati railway station and departing from Szajol at 6:09 am, will only run as far as Ceglé due to its seventy-minute delay. Passengers can continue their journey on the next train to the capital.

The Latorca InterCity (IC 34) departing from Nyugati railway station at 7:20 a.m. via Debrecen to Munkács only runs from Cegléd. Until then, passengers can travel from Nyugati railway station to Debrecen with the Cívis InterRégio (IR 6002) departing at 7:25. Transfers are provided in Ceglé.
