The traffic chaos on Monday morning is well characterized by the fact that road renovations are taking place in countless parts of the capital, which are causing unpleasant conditions.
On the day of the start of school, one and a half million students will start their journey in Hungary, so traffic situations different from the average will have to be expected in the capital as well.
The mayor also spoke on the first day of the school year, admitting that Budapest traffic can expect increased traffic again.
Karácsony listed on his social media page what kind of road renovation and track maintenance work was carried out during the holidays, but he is very silent about it, traffic in the capital is far from smooth, and in many places it was not possible to finish the work before the start of school.
