Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is hoping for the presidency of Kamala Harris, named the possible mediators for negotiations aimed at ending the Russian-Ukrainian war.

China, Brazil and India can be the mediators during the possible peace negotiations with Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Eastern Economic Forum round table, which he attended together with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Chinese Vice President Han Cheng.

If Ukraine wants to continue negotiations, he is ready for it - Putin was quoted as saying by the Brussels news portal Politico.

As we reported earlier, Ukrainian leaders also voiced their opinion that instead of direct negotiations, the peace process could be breathed into the peace process with a format similar to the negotiations between Turkey and the UN on grain transport in the Black Sea.

Cheng Han said during the conversation that China condemns protectionism, breaking supply chains, imposing unilateral sanctions and increasing pressure.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia praised the development of the Russian economy and promised to deepen the relations between the two countries. Regarding the fact that Malaysia has officially submitted its application to join BRICS, Anvar Ibrahim said that this will contribute to strengthening relations with Russia, especially trade relations.

According to Vladimir Putin, more than 30 countries are ready to join or cooperate with the BRICS countries.

The Russian president also spoke about the situation in Kursk. According to the head of state, the Russian army has stabilized the situation and is now gradually pushing the Ukrainian armed forces out of the region, reports the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.

The Ukrainians did not achieve their goal of stopping the Russian advance, Putin stated, adding that the Ukrainians suffered heavy losses in the Donbass.

Asked about the upcoming U.S. election, Putin said it was ultimately "the decision of the American people," but Russia supported Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

I have already said that our favorite, if I may say so, is the current president, Biden

Putin said with a sarcastic smile.

He dropped out of the race but advised all his supporters to support Harris. So we do the same, we support him, he said amidst the applause of the audience.

The comments are likely to be denied by the White House and the Harris campaign.

According to the Russian president, Donald Trump has taken more restrictive measures against Russia than any American president before him.

From Harris's frequent and "contagious" laughter, it can be concluded that he is having a good time, and if he is having a good time, perhaps he will refrain from similar actions - ironically Vladimir Putin.
