Bianka Pap won gold and Zsófia Konkoly won silver on Friday's swimming competition day at the Paris Paralympics.

In the morning, both of them confidently reached the early evening final, but this was also expected of them, as both of them arrived in the French capital as title defenders in their current numbers.

Pap Bianka, after winning the bronze medal in the S10 injury category on Thursday in the 400m breaststroke, competed in the 100m backstroke on Friday at the La Defénse Arena.

The 24-year-old swimmer from Vasas - whose left tibia did not develop properly due to a skiing accident as a child - swam 1:08.60 minutes in the morning, which was by far the fastest, and competed brilliantly in the evening as well.

His reaction time was already the best in the field, and after that he swam the hundred meters in the lead. In the end, his rivals caught up with him, but he managed to maintain his advantage and triumphed with a time of 1:07.97 minutes.

Pap, who is participating in the third Paralympics of his career - who will have one more on Saturday - has so far collected a total of 2 gold, 3 silver and two bronze medals.

Bianka Pap is a bronze medalist in the 400-meter freestyle

Zsófia Konkoly, a two-time gold medalist in the French capital, made it to the evening final with the second time from the morning heat, where she also crossed the finish line in second place behind the American Christie Raleigh-Crossley, who triumphed with the Paralympic record. The 22-year-old para-athlete from Pécs - who won the 400 freestyle last Thursday and the 200 medley the day before - collected her seventh medal at the third Paralympics of her career, with 3 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.

Zsófia Konkoly won the 11th medal of the Hungarian delegation in Paris, the balance is 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.
